Project Overview
In my role as a creative director, I had the privilege of leading an exciting project that involved executive photoshoot direction and the design of a prominent feature ad for Las Vegas Black Magazine. This captivating advertisement graced the pages of the February edition of Las Vegas Black Image Magazine. For this multifaceted project, I donned multiple hats – serving as both the creative director and the art director while also flexing my graphic design expertise.
The Creative Journey
The journey to crafting this exceptional ad began with the creation of a mood board. This invaluable tool served as the foundation for my research and was instrumental in communicating the shoot's vision. It allowed me to align my creative direction with the client's expectations, ensuring a seamless and successful project.
The Photoshoot Experience
The heart of this project was the executive photoshoot, a dynamic process that involved capturing over 500 images. To bring out the human side of these executives, I partnered with the highly skilled Sampsel Preston Photography team, known for their exceptional ability to infuse authenticity and personality into their subjects. This collaboration was key to the project's success, as it elevated the photoshoot from a standard corporate affair to a genuine showcase of these individuals' character.
Beyond Print
The reach of this project extended beyond the printed page. The magazine ad seamlessly transitioned into a compelling social media post, further amplifying the message and impact of our work.
Reflection
This project was a testament to my ability to conceptualize, direct, and design with excellence. It showcases my proficiency in visual storytelling and my commitment to delivering results that exceed expectations. I'm proud to present this project as a highlight in my portfolio, and it stands as a testament to my dedication to the craft of creative direction, art direction, and graphic design.
